Throwback on the AVEVA World Conference 2018 at the Stade de France

As every year, an ORINOX delegation went to the AVEVA World Conference France, which took place on June 7th 2018, at the Stade de France near Paris.

Co-option truly involves the employee and it also eans that he/she understood the stakes and needs of his company

As such, Emna, application engineer at Orinox since December 2018, did not hesitate for long : « I decided to co-opt Noussaiba mainly because I know her skills and her enthusiasm. We made our final school projects and reports together, so I did it because I know what she is capable of ». Beyond the co-option’s bonus that co-opting persons get when the trial period of the co-opted is confirmed, Orinox wants to enhance these initiatives which prove that the company really trusts its employees.

The conferences and the workshops gave to this day its tempo

As a sponsor, ORINOX had a booth space dedicated to virtual reality to present its Immersive Training simulator. On the ORINOX stand, Maxime Fourreau, director and founder, Jean-Charles Cesbron, digital project manager, and Johan Le Bec, IT development engineer, were present to welcome clients and prospects.

Also present as exhibitors and AVEVA partners:

  • HILTI, expert and supplier of laser scanning solutions and 3D data processing tools
  • SETIAE, expert in AVEVA IE&D solution and scientific calculation related to installation trades, and in digital installation engineering consulting.

Many collaborators had the opportunity to participate in this gathering as well: Alexandre Henneront, David Gomez, Charlene Jolys, Mathieu Bottolier, Guillaume Brillet, Leo Salvador, Guillaume Bernhardt, Raphael Boche, Olivier Roussel, Haythem Kamoun, David Herbstmeyer, Nazeh Nadzru, Ulrich KOMENAM, Antoine Orsoni.

The latter were able to take part in conferences led by speakers all day long.

In the morning, Fabien Dufrênet, AVEVA southern europe sales manager, Benjamin Loubet and Stéphanie Ferreira, technical sales specialists, Guillaume Montandon, ORANO engineering tools department manager, Jeremy Saada, director sales support & operations and Jean François Houen, technical account manager, discussed the following topics:

In the afternoon, technical workshops were organized. They were about:

The day ended with other conferences to complement the morning presentations:

AVEVA E3D at the service of renewable energy – Omexom Hydro, by Alain Aramburu, engineering manager at OMEXOM,
Construction Management – Site section, by Antonio Retamero, senior technical sales consultant,
The Roadmap, by Julien de Beer, senior vice president product & solution strategy.

The end of the day ended well for Antoine Orsoni, engineer in Paris, who won the SETiAE quizz composed of questions about AVEVA IE&D solutions. He wins a trip for two people to Greece. Congratulations to him, we wish him a safe journey!

Day’s contributions & teaching

This day was dedicated to the “New AVEVA” and digitalization:

The recent merger with Schneider Electric Software will expand AVEVA’s offering, increasing its coverage over the entire asset lifecycle by integrating control, planning and optimization solutions over the production cycle.

Therefore, part of the presentations focused on the use of AVEVA solutions in Construction Management, with a demonstration of the synergy between ERM and IE&D solutions.

To note, an announcement expected: the transition of AVEVA Instrumentation & Electrical under Dabacon, with integration in AVEVA Engineering 15.1.

In addition, one of the workshops was dedicated to the presentation of the AVEVA Cloud solution: AVEVA Connect. This is a SaaS solution to which our OCWS cloud solution can be added.
Finally, during the inevitable Roadmap which presents the forecasts of AVEVA solutions updates and releases, the release of AVEVA E3D 3.0 was announced for next December.

Concerning AVEVA Diagrams, it would seem that there is no update on new graphic caneva planned before 2 years.

Our ORINOXIANS are ready for the World Cup:

If the day was enriching and punctuated by numerous activities, the visit of the Stade de France made it even more pleasant! On schedule, visits of the field, the changing rooms, entry of the players and historical point. It is with the colors of France that the whole team could discover this place charged with History!
